Be a Good Neighbor

At Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana our first priority is always the health, safety and well-being of the individuals we serve, our staff and those in our communities. Due to the threat of COVID-19, we are taking precautions.

We are confident these measures will help protect our staff, our community, and the more than 20,000 vulnerable individuals and families we serve every day.

VOLUNTEERS
Based on guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Governor Edward's stay at home order, we will be suspending all volunteer opportunities throughout the organization.

PROGRAMS & FACILITIES
Our programs and facilities are designed to provided assistance to the most vulnerable in the communities that we serve. As a result, we are taking every step to provide a safe and healthy environment for those we serve.

OUR STAFF
To help combat the spread of COVID-19, we are advising nonessential staff to work from home. We have advised any employees that experience flu-like symptoms to remain home and take proper precautions.

Take Action
This is an unprecedented challenge for Volunteers of America as well as the world. It is a daunting task, but we stand ready to embrace our mission and tackle this new world.

Each of the people we serve remain in our prayers. We hope to be in yours. Join us in our mission.

Due to the pandemic, we are postponing our annual fundraiser – Celebration for Change, but we still need your support as we prepare for the potential impact of COVID-19 on those we serve. If you would like to help, please consider making a donation now as we fight this pandemic together.
