Going Where We're Needed

Our Partnerships in Child Care Division opened a child care respite center at the West Feliciana Hospital and the Savoy Medical Center to assist healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. These centers were reserved for the children of essential front line workers, and we received a lot of compliments from employees and the children that attended the programs!

"The team at VOA has been phenomenal as far as getting things up and running quickly and smoothly," said WFH Human Resource Director, Tara McLin. "They have been flexible and compassionate with our team and making the whole experience enjoyable, providing some relief to the staff here."

"I am so proud and appreciative of the expertise of our own Child Care Coaches," said PICC Regional Director Karen Powell. "We are grateful that our work could make one aspect of these children’s and families’ lives easier.
