Housing Options

As a leading provider of affordable housing, Volunteers of America offers several housing options across south Louisiana for people living with severe and persistent mental illness. Housing services range from independent living to 24-hour supervised residential care. We believe in the power of housing as the foundation for life.

Treatment Programs

Volunteers of America provides services addressing severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Through Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), crisis stabilization, customized behavior management counseling and day treatment programs, we assist clients in achieving and maintaining mental health stability to experience an increase in functioning and a reduction of harm.

Intensive Case Management & Support Coordination

Across Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and Alexandria, Volunteers of America is devoted to the service-delivery and support of people living with severe and persistent mental health disorders and their loved ones. Our ultimate goal is to help the people we serve make informed life-choices. We promote effective life functioning, acquisition of daily living skills and adherence to treatment plans.
